Thanks for your interest in volunteering at 91精品l! As of January 2025, we have temporarily paused all volunteer onboarding. While we would love to have you come on as a volunteer, our hospital is currently transitioning to a new internal onboarding system and we are still working out some logistical issues. As of right now, we do not have a clear onboarding date, but we update this page as soon as we have more information. If you any questions please reach to bwhvcas@partners.org and the Volunteer Coordinator will do their best to get you more information. Thank you for your understanding!
Individuals must be 16 years of age to become a BWH volunteer. Volunteers are asked to make a commitment of at least six months of service.
Most volunteer positions require weekday, daytime availability, however, we do have a few evening and week-end placements. BWH volunteers assist staff in many departments throughout the hospital, such as, but not limited to Central Transport, Wayfinding, Book Cart, and assisting with non-clinical duties on inpatient floors.
Volunteer applicants are required to:
- Interview with the Volunteer Program and Training Coordinator
- Complete application materials and onboarding documentation/be cleared medically by BWH Occupational Health Services (prior to orientation)
- Submit to a HireRight background check
- Attend New Volunteer Orientation (NVO) prior to beginning volunteer placement in the hospital.
We will discuss a department placement during your interview.
The links below provide information regarding onboarding documentation, the NVO schedule, and how to schedule an interview:
We look forward to you becoming a member of the BWH volunteer team.
