Since our opening over 100 years ago, the department has maintained a strong commitment to state-of-the-art patient care and to the advancement of neurosurgical research and education. Today, BWH is one of the top neurosurgery providers in the country and has been consistently ranked as one of America's best hospitals by U.S. News & World Report®. Our team consists of 29 surgeons and specialists, 21 residents from Harvard Medical School and over 100 department staff members. This multidisciplinary team is dedicated to providing patient-focused, world-class medical care for the entire spectrum of neurological diseases.
