Birth Support

  • : professional, evidenced-based and personalized care from Birth Doulas.
  • : a community program aimed at matching Birth Doulas with lower income and at-risk patients (by referral only).

Local/Regional Resources and Support Groups

  • at the Jewish Family and Children's Service: promotes the earliest parent-child relationships by supporting parents as they manage the challenges of caring for their babies.

Lactation Resources

  • Brigham Center for Breastfeeding, Outpatient Lactation Program: provides individualized, one-on-one virtual and in-person consultations with a registered nurse/IBCLC lactation consultant. Call 617-308-1536.
  • : offers free resources for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. Baby Cafés are located in about a dozen Eastern Massachusetts locations, including Jamaica Plain, Boston Medical Center and Codman Square in Dorchester.
  • : a practice that includes a Certified Lactation Counselor on staff to provide lactation support.
